Ruth stood outside of Jay's door. He'd be done with the weight room right now. He didn't have a test this week. They should be able to have the whole evening to talk. And after the day Ruth had had the day before, and her inability to see Jay last night...

"We need to talk," she told him as soon as he arrived.

	He blinks. Any kind of Hawk-anger is pretty much gone for now with the rest of that. "I'd... like that. Obviously... but we probably ought to... well, actually talk about what comes after the catching up part first." He hates to say it, but he desperately wants to never regret anything with Ruth. "Yes. Yes, definitely. Serious grown-up conversation. Well, I don't want to rush anything, especially since... general admission here, my knowledge of sex is pretty much limited to reading all the Sunday School sex ed pamphlets. I totally agree with what they say about ways for a person to learn about her own body, but, um... It seems I'm no good at those. I'm pretty sure I'm not clinically frigid or anything, though." She looks at him and blushes. "So I don't think we'll need to worry about that."

He nods, trying to watch his words very carefully here, trying not to spoil the mood. "I... uhm... well, read more than pamphlets. And, I just want you to know there's no pressure, no rush. I know your family isn't all Catholic and all, but I'd always assumed there was still a 'wait for marriage' clause. But if you'd like to at least try and get a little more... intimate... I'm all for it."

If we're going to do that, we should at least see what we're getting first."

	He bites his lip, then nods. Its a fair question. "Yeah, clean bill of health. It may not seem related, but football players bleed and all. We can just get used to each other initially, and you can tell me what you like, and we'll...figure out what I like. I may not--" scarlet. "Be able to get anywhere by myself, but I'm pretty sure I'm capable of normal, healthy sexuality when I look at you." A sheepish smile, and she goes in for a kiss.

	No, he will never explain where he learned to undo a bra clasp with one hand. He figures she won't ask, and its best that way. It does take two attempts and a couple extra seconds... these are Ruth's bare breasts, after all. He pulls the garment away, and can't help but just admire the sight openly a few seconds. How very interesting his teeth are is a surprise to Ruth as she moans rather more eagerly, between that and his rougher handling.

Her mind's racing a little through all this in typical Ruth trying-to-organize fashion. Were they supposed to be that sensitive? Was how wonderful his mouth felt related to how lousy she'd been at ever trying to work with her body in these ways herself? How could she catch up in being better for him?
