Losing My Mind
Julian had been gone a while. Minnie was going crazy without him. She'd done without much longer before, but every time back with him just made it more tantalizing when they were separated again. So she threw on her knee-high stiletto leather boots and some black-leather-and-leather clothes which....used less leather than the boots and went down to where DJ Whedon was spinning.

It didn't take all that long for parts of the club crowd to part for the little whirling dervish who moved like she either wanted to kill something or fuck something. Which....was pretty much how she was feeling, except it would be completely inappropriate to kill someone. Minnie had energy to burn and generally believed that black lace required a little sweat plastering it to fit right.

While she dances closer to the DJ's box-thing, she doesn't try to go right up and say hi. She needs him to see her. Notice her. Want her, in all her burning frustration.

	"Band manager. Call around, try and get gigs, negotiate contracts, make sure everyone pays what they should, schedule interviews and appearances, hawk CDs... "And the people we have to meet with definitely do better with a pretty face - who can still draw the line and not get pushed around. I have a feeling you'd be a natural. And if you do a good job, more gigs, better quality ones, public events, CD sales... could all easily rise enough to justify the hiring. We're starting to get better known because of the show... but don't really have the management in place to take advantage of it."

"Go nuts, I'm just going to trust you know your contract law and let you go. Pauline has her favorite little tricks for making sure the stage crew is doing things her way, when we play strange places. I've occasionally forgone some of my cut to buy the crew a round after tear-down or the like for crews who really kick ass. Always nice to have people who want to work with us again. Sounds like I'm picking the right person for this though."

He leans in to accept the kiss. "Alright, I should get down to the lot and see if they're doing anything with filming. Our current schedule is there... there's a list of clubs and venues with live music in town over there. The highlighted ones are the people we've done some work with. I've got three bookmarked sites for places within the nearest five states with music on the computer... I'll get that set up for you.

Don't feel any pressure to get to anything, just an option if you're bored. Alternately, if you want to go home and bring some things over, likely not a bad idea either."

He nods. "Thanks for breakfast. I'll be back in seven hours. We'll have time for dinner - my treat to celebrate your new job - then I need to meet with the manager of the club we're doing the gig at for thirty minutes before I go and start sound check. I'll make sure you're clear to come into the club with me before opening. Just be ready to go not too long after I get back."

	"I will be." And when he does get back, she'll be wearing in a chocolate-brown suit-dress -- her usual choker switched out for one of matching fabric -- and some much more sensible heels. Some of her other clothes will be taking up a reasonable amount of closet space. There'll be a few pages of notes stacked atop the lists he provided. She grins. "Hi, DJ!" His mood brightens considerably when he sees her. Its not that he minds the show, the work associated with it, or being part of its goals. But if he's going to be watched, he wants to be watched, thriving on the feedback and energy. He's also not good at dialing down the energy when performing, so long shoots are brutal. He's a little sweaty, a little worn, but mostly in good spirits when he gets back

"Wow... you've been busy. Give me a few to change and all, and we can go, if you know what you want for dinner?"

	Minnie will once more be a bit.. intent on DJ during the drive over. Really, she misses having a chauffer, so she could safely plead to... serve, but so it went. Instead, she'll talk about a few of the tentative calls she'd made. The restaurant is rundown, cheap, with large portions. Minnie is downright gleeful. "I don't get to come here often." 	DJ has gone to a couple show events in limos, but N.I.C.H. Machinegun doesn't merit it yet, and even if they did, that'd probably not go well showing up to punk events in a limo. He appreciates the attention and help though. "I can see why you like it. They look like they could use business though. Think they'd be willing to host an aftershow party or three?"
