First there was the horse thing. It looked at me and then bowed and walked away. It didn't bother me or Bobby. Then those three dudes chased it, the horse thing never bothered them either. Maybe it didn't bother them because us all because we were dudes? No, no, it's gotta be something different because the guys they found were all crazy hurt.

Then there's the thing that Ella saw. The monster cloak with teeth. Forget what the fuck they call it. It can't possibly be that thing. It eviscerated left it's mark physically on the people and the animals it attacked. It left evidence. This thing... whatever it is... it didn't leave shit. This is way it's so fucking frustrating! There's barely anything to go on.

I just keep thinking about faerie stories, legends and shit dad would tell us as we sat around the camp fire. It all sounds familiar but I can't put a name to it. Women missing, men showing up days later, not quite themselves and then dying.

It could be something entirely different too. Maybe the government found out about us and they're taking people to do research or something. Maybe... maybe it's aliens. I don't know. I just don't fucking know. There have been weirder things than that. I know there has. Anything is possible.

I just can't think straight. There are so many things going on right now my head is spinning. I think I should enlist help. I have to figure it out. I have to know why people are going missing. I have to find my mom.
