Welcome to bishounenawards, an icon contest community dedicated to making icons of bishounen, or "beautiful men" from anime, manga and video games.

You are welcome to join and submit icons, or just join to watch and vote if you so please. However, please remember that in order to take part in the activities, you will first need to join the community.

Each week, a new theme will be posted by one of the moderators. You will have exactly one week to create and submit entries for the current theme. When the time is up, voting will be posted and members will have two days to vote on their favourite icons.
Icons will be ranked into 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. If there are 10 or more submissions, a special category will be awarded as well.

01 Each member may submit up to two (2) icons per theme.

02 All icons must meet Scribbld standards of being 100x100 pixels or less in width and height, 40kb or less in size and be of .jpg, .gif or .png file type.

03 All icons must be focused on bishounen (men) from anime, manga or video games. Light boy's love is permitted, however yaoi and hentai are not unless otherwise stated in the theme.

04 Do not advertise your icon(s) or ask others to vote for your icons. Please do not make your icon public (ie: using it) until after voting has ended and contestants' names have been released. Depending on the circumstances, if you are caught doing any of the above, you will be banned.

05 All entries should be new and made within a week of the submission date.

06 Do not steal icons. If you wish to use any of the icons seen in this community, please ask the creator if it is alright and credit them if needed. Creators' names will be made public after voting is over.

07 Entries may not contain fanart and/or doujinshi. Official art only, please.

08 Be considerate. We will not tolerate rude behavior.

New themes will be posted on Friday evenings, shortly after voting goes up.

Voting will go up each Friday night at 8:00 PM PST. The voting period will last until Sunday night at 8:00 PM PST

Voting will be weighted, with your first choice in icon being given 3 points, second choice given 2 points and 3rd choice given 1 point. Special category voting (if applicable) will not be weighted.
