open to joshua
The past two days Logan had been in the city, having to go back for work, but he explained he needed a few weeks off and he planned on sticking close to the haven in hopes of helping Moon adjust. The fact that Hunter hadn't just given up on the young wolf was promising, and Logan wanted to do whatever he could to help Moon out. Andrew had gone back into the city as well, for the past few days to meet with his parents who were visiting, and that left Joshua alone. Not only had Logan hurried back to see Moon, but he'd also wanted to see Joshua without Andrew hanging around. It was selfish, and pointless, but he couldn't help that he felt a very strong pull to Joshua.

It was early evening when he slipped into the house and out of his shoes and jacket, and when he headed into the living room he paused and was surprised to see Joshua dozing on the couch with not one, but two wolf pups lying right on top of him. For a moment, Logan furrowed his brow and just stared. His senses took a moment to pick up on the fact that the two pups were Julie and Miah, and when he realized it, he reached down to gently touch the top of Julie's head. The white pup looked up at him sleepily and opened his jaws to yawn loudly, and Logan arched a brow in surprise. It was a mini Joshua. It took Logan a moment to realize that Joshua's eyes were open, too, and when he did, Logan drew his hand back sheepishly.

"We're not suppose to shift this young," he said softly. "I mean, Hunter and Austin could, but they're full blooded. I didn't even think this could happen - how did it happen? Are they okay?"

Logan let out a soft groan and let his own wolf push back, partly because he wanted to connect with Moon desperately and partly because he knew that Joshua would feel it upstairs. It wasn't fair, but Logan couldn't help himself. He was hurt and angry at Joshua, and he wanted Joshua to feel it. But soon enough all thoughts of Joshua melted away as the connection with Moon grew, and after a moment Logan broke the kiss and pressed his face against Moon's shoulder.

"Sorry," he breathed softly.

Even through two floors, Joshua could feel the familiar rush of energy over his limbs and he knew immediately what was happening. Instead of sticking around for it, he got a bag together and took off out of the house, slamming the door so hard that it nearly broke off the hinges.

Moon was remarkably unaware of Logan's motives and he shook his head. "Don't be," sorry, he meant. He caught his breath and leaned forward to nuzzle against Logan's chest. He was terribly needy when it came to touch, isolated for so long. His fingers kneaded against the small of Logan's back and he sighed. "Hunter scares the crap out of me, but I want to snuggle with him. Is that normal?" He'd been too embarrassed to ask the man directly about it.

Logan heard the door slam, and he felt momentarily satisfied before the guilt set in. He swallowed hard and lifted a hand and swept his fingers through Moon's hair, enjoying the softness of the boy's unruly locks. It felt good to be close to him, and even better that Moon wanted to be close to him in return.

"Yeah," he answered with a faint smile in response to Moon's question. "He scares you and makes you feel safe all at once sometimes."

Moon leaned into Logan's hand, unable to keep from reacting like a dog getting a very satisfying scritch. Parts of himself had simply melded with the wolf inside of him and they would be difficult to quell. "He'll really kill me if I don't do good. I'm going to be perfect," he said with firey determination. He wanted to live, had a strong drive for it. It had been what kept him alive through the worst of the fever in the beginning.

"I like you though. No one's ever been this nice to me. Well, that guy who asks a million questions is really nice, but not like how you are nice. I don't want to touch him nearly as much as I want to touch you."

	Logan shifted so that he was laying next to Moon, and he let his legs tangle up with the other wolf's. He leaned in and kissed him again, this time it was quick and short. He was relaxed now, no longer so angry. It felt good. "I'm glad you don't want to touch him as much as you want to touch me," he said softly with a grin. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Logan lifted a hand to sweep his fingers across Moon's lips. Moon was just a beautiful as Joshua, but in a different way. He was easier to talk to, and to be with, and Logan missed him while he was away. He scooted in closer with a soft sigh. "You make me forget about the world, and I like it," he said softly. Moon felt so much better to be around his own kind. Knowing what was going on helped him to not feel so afraid at the fact that his body didn't feel like his own sometimes. As a result, he was rapidly gaining back his old personality, the that was vivacious and full of trouble for trouble's sake. He had fire in him and it was easy to see in moments. "The world has too much in it to really forget. Why would you want to do a thing like that?" He sat up and looked down at Logan with a grin. He wanted to be outside so badly, his whole body felt tense with desirous anticipation.

Logan offered a faint shrug of his shoulders. A part of him just wanted to leave, to take Moon and to go somewhere isolated where it was just the two of them, but he was afraid of what Hunter would do. There was no doubt in his mind that Hunter would come for them, and what if he decided to kill Moon because of something Logan had done?

"Sometimes it's nice to not think about anything but one person," he answered as he hooked his ankle around the other boy's. "Maybe after a little bit longer, Hunter will let you out of here and you can really see what being a part of a pack is like."

He'd had a dream about running away from this place with Logan. When he woke up, he'd been terrified that Hunter would somehow find out about the dream and be angry. It made him quake with fear and the wolf inside want to burst forth to defend itself. But right now, if Logan had presented the suggestion, he would have followed him to the ends of the earth. He was desperately infatuated with the other already, hanging everything on him without a worry in the world that he might ever get hurt. It was so easy for Moon to just feel what he felt.

"I do want out of here very bad. It's cramped and I'm used to being outside. Does it bother you that I've probably killed people? It bothers me. Maybe I've made other werewolves too. Hunter says they don't usually survive the fever." He flitted around from emotion to emotion as he felt them.

Logan gently tugged Moon back down to lay with him, and he tucked an arm around the wolf's waist as he wiggled in nice and close. In answer to Moon's question, he shook his head no. It didn't bother him that Moon might have killed people. He hadn't meant to, it wasn't as if he'd planned it. It was tragic, yes, but Logan wasn't about to write Moon off over something he had no control over.

"You're lucky you survived it," he pointed out as his fingertips swept over Moon's forehead. "Do you think it's strange, that you're name is Moon, and you are what you are now?"

Moon easily flopped back down against the other. "It's kind of funny, I suppose. Does the moon make shifts easier?" He didn't quite understand the mechanics of all of it yet. "Really, my mother just wanted a girl to name Luna, but she got me instead and thought the english word would work for a boy's name." His mother was a frivolous woman, wrapped up in being a socialite, but he'd loved her all the same.

	"That moon stuff is mostly myths," Logan said with a half smile, "But there is a pull to it. I mean, sometimes I can feel it. But I think that's just because we can feel a lot of things more strongly than humans," he added as he pressed his hand in against Moon's back. "Where would you take me?" He seemed to like that notion a great deal and perked up again as if he simply couldn't be kept down by Logan's side. "Anywhere outside. We could sleep out under the sky. I used to sleep in my backyard a lot. Mom hated it, said I got too dirty, but I really didn't mind." He was growing more energetic the more time he spent with Logan, as if the other boy injected him with glee. If had had a tail to wag, he'd be wagging it right now.

Logan leaned his head in to kiss at Moon'd jaw as a contented sigh escaped him. He let his finger dip beneath Moon's shirt so that he could touch his warm skin, and he smiled softly.

"I don't know," he whispered. "A cabin that use to be my Dad's. It's mine now, but I never wanted to go and stay there alone. Vaughn use to go there, I gave him a key. He hasn't been this year, though."

His eyelids drooped a little when Logan touched him like that and his cheeks flushed. It was a little difficult to see on his tan skin, but the pink was there. Logan had him on puppet strings, able to tug him this way and that with hardly any effort. Instead of laying back down, he slipped his leg over the other boy's hip so that he could straddle him and sit back against his hips.

"A cabin sounds nice. Who is Vaughn?" Moon didn't know many of the wolves, mainly because they didn't come down to visit him. Not that he blamed them, or that Hunter would even encourage such a thing this early in his 'training.'

Logan smiled and let his hands move to grip Moon's sides. He gave a little squeeze as he stared up at the other boy, and he lifted a hand and carded it through Moon's soft hair. He loved the boy's light eyes in contrast with his hair color and skin color. And he loved his full lips.

"He's another wolf in my pack, he's older than me. A photographer. He travels a lot," he smiled.

Traveling sounded good to him. Moon put his hand over Logan's hand at his side, wanting to keep it there. "And Hunter lets him go anywhere he likes, because he was born a werewolf?" Moon wanted to learn about the culture, though he had an exceedingly short attention span. Jack had spent some time downstairs with him, and even he had had a hard time keeping up with him, which was saying a lot.

	"Vaughn was raised with the pack, like me, so it's different for him. He's learned from day one what he is, and how to control it. He was taught by his father and other wolves here from a young age," Logan explained. "When you get a handle on everything, you'll be able to travel and do things, too." Moon sighed and it was a little more dramatic than he'd meant it to be. "I am not so very patient," he stated and tilted his head back to look up at the ceiling of the cage. He closed his eyes and pretended that it was the sky and he could feel the sun on his skin.

"Would you break me out of here if I asked you to?" he lowered his gaze back to Logan and was half-afraid to hear the answer to that question.

	Logan sighed quietly and let the hand that was up by Moon's face drop down to rest against the boy's chest. He could feel the thudding of Moon's heart, and he found it comforting. This was someone he could touch without confusion, or anger, or frustration. "Hunter would find us and punish us both," he whispered softly. "He doesn't take responsibility lightly." "I'm very good at hiding," he suggested with a little half-grin. He couldn't possibly understand the kind of honing power Hunter had on members of his pack and most werewolves for that matter.

He clasped Logan's wrist and lifted his hand from his heart to his mouth where he kissed his palm before dragging his tongue down the center of it to taste the soft skin at Logan's pulse.

	Logan's breath hitched at the feeling of Moon's mouth against his skin, and he just stared up at the younger wolf with adoration. It felt so good he could hardly stand it. "I wish it was that easy, just being good at hiding, but it's not. Hunter is intune to all of us in his pack, and he can sense wolves outside of it, too." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

That little catch in Logan's breath was enough to steal Moon's attention away from anything else. Testing, he let his teeth drag over the place he'd just licked before closing his lips against it and sucking. He was surprised by the very slight shift in scent, but he couldn't distinguish whether it was from himself or from Logan. The air around them felt thicker and he was so curious about it, wanting to experiment with it.

After a second, it was back to the teeth and he laid them against the meat of the base of Logan's thumb and he bit gently against it, putting pressure until he was sure it would hurt, but not break the skin.

Logan stared at Moon's mouth, and he literally felt as if everything else in the world was melting away. It had been just what he'd wanted when he came downstairs to see Moon. Logan wet his lips and let the nails of the hand at Moon's side dig in just a little bit, and he drug it down along the boy's skin to squeeze his hip. It only took a few seconds for his hand to shift to the front of Moon's pants, and he pushed the heel of his palm against the boy's groin.
