open to Rex and Quillan
Kellen still wasn't sure what to make of Kieran's dreams, especially after speaking with Wendell. Kieran had never had trouble with bad dreams before, not like this, and it was worrying Kellen that maybe Wendell had a point. But Kellen wasn't sure what to do about it. All he could do was assure his son that things were fine, which made him feel guilty because that only seemed to make everything worse. A part of him wondered if maybe he should just stick close to the haven for a while, but his work wouldn't allow it. And Kieran had school. So they headed back to Seattle after their long weekend, and when Monday morning rolled around Kellen got Kieran up and ready for school.

The morning was a normal one, just like any other. He made Kieran breakfast and he'd helped him get dressed and packed up for school before they got in the car and he went to go drop Kieran off. A kiss on the cheek and an I love you, and Kieran was out of the car and heading up the steps of his school. Like always, Kellen waited for his son to get inside before he took off and headed for his office. He rented a space for his work because he had lots of wardrobes on hand to pull from just in case a client called at the last minute for a special event or photoshoot. Once he parked in his usual spot, he got out with his messenger bag and coffee in hand to head to the door.

"There are no good wolves, just disasters waiting to happen." He sat down on the steps, putting his head in his hands. He was speaking more to himself than he was to Kellan at this point, reciting a mantra. When he heard the front door slam, he lept to his feet and turned, waiting for Rex to appear. His heavy footsteps walked across the floor and then down the stairs.

"You fed him?" He asked with a sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Go upstairs, Quillan." He directed the man to the door and then turned to face Kellen. "Comfortable?"

When Kellen heard Rex come back, Kellen frowned with defeat. He knew Quillan was his only chance, and he had to keep working on Quillan whenever he could. The second Rex came downstairs, and Quillan went up them, Kellen went silent. He finished his sandwhich and water before he laid down and turned with his back to the hunter. He wasn't going to even bother with this one.

"All right then. Fair enough." Rex wasn't going to beg the wolf to talk. Going close to the cage, he knelt down to double check its security. Once he was satisfied that Kellen wasn't going anywhere, he left him to his own limited devices, heading back upstairs.
