Other than talking in her head and occasionally popping up scans she couldn't understand, Dinah had yet to be able to get Khaji Da to work for her.  She'd tried its name, tried "Shazam", tried "flame on," and several other catch phrases without success.  Even reading over the notes her dad, Dani Garret, and Jaime himself had written hadn't turned up anything. 

It made sense, of course.  The Scarab wasn't meant to transfer hosts the way it had.  The trauma of Jaime's injuries had surely been passed onto it as well.  But there had to be some way to reactivate it fully.

So Dinah had gotten Riley to take her out where the could do a reasonable amount of property-free damage experimenting.  She was a little worried that he'd brought the book with the list of ways they'd tried to see if he had the metagene though.

"Okay, so maybe we need some kind of threat?"
