"I'm glad you got them home, honey. I know that was important to you." Robert says. Jane's heart is one of the biggest reasons he loves her. She's willing to accept people no matter what they've done in the past, to give second chances the way she'd done for him.
He holds her a little bit longer, before pulling back.
"Have you seen the news lately, Jane? Something happened and we need to talk about it." he says.
