Jon gets grabbed by the head. The twin shields there hold, keeping it from being worse, but he's also not easily able to fight free of the grip, and only the fact that its the potent combo of the green and blue light together keeps the shield from buckling.
Still, as he struggles to pry the grip loose, Doomsday's fingers versus Jon's whole hands, he kicks out at Doomsday.
