In Titan's Tower, trying to keep his mind on work, trying to keep his mind from wandering, Ty suddenly pauses.
He can't have felt what he felt, right?
His hands begin to shake.
Just a memory, just a delusion. Wanting to hear her so badly, desperate to hear her voice... right?
No, its still there. He can feel her, their link corrupted - but there again, though he's currently getting almost nothing over it except a vague unease.
Cait... must be in some sort of trouble.
But Cait is dead... he saw her die. Right?
The shaking gets worse, and he feels the tug at his brain. He reaches out for Ruth, for Alina, for the minds he knows, the anchors he knows. He must be causing this unintentionally - he just needs to focus.
The two girls may get a vague sense of it, a tap at their brains perhaps, before that too fades - as now he's sure - Cait is there, on the other end... but so... so cold.
He has to help her.
With a flash of yellow light, he's moving.
