The seal is effective against these things! Assuming he doesn't die in the next few minutes, that's really exciting to know!
They're too close for him to dodge backward again, so Dinadan dodges forward and, more importantly, down. He loses his grip on the pipe, since it can't shrink with him, but the he brings his sword around to try and hamstring the spawn as he dives between its legs.
