If Eli had the time to spare for the attention, he would have called that cruel and unusual punishment.

Instead he flapped back hard, creating a buffeting wind as he yanked the sword free. The flames flickered and spat angrily as if they personally disliked the zombie Cait. The few times Eli had seen the sword do that usually involved demons.
