"Really nice to meet you, Joey," he says as he reaches out an exquisitely manicured, if slightly fencing-callused, hand to shake. "Yeah, there's been some crazy reports on the news these past few days. I hope everything works out as well as possible."
He catches Jacque and Liz in the corner of his eye. They've backed out of the conversation, obviously, not wanting to cramp his style, but there's something in their faces he just can't place, like they want to remind him of something. But he can't worry about that now. He's talking to a tough-guy Adonis.
