"I didn't have friends back on ... Back home," she admits. " I was not allowed anywhere without guards. Father was very protective and even stricter with me than he tries to be with Cait here." Oh that did help her giving her a 'business as usual' attitude when it came to Arthur's moods. That didn't mean she still wasn't both shy and very sheltered.
"I... am unsure about my status here, as far as family goes. I don't wish to become a tool. Or have the court start to.... You know they're bullies, don't you? Big. Giant. Nagging bullies who stick their noses into everything. Thank the Gods I decided to not tell them when I turned sixteen. I dare not imagine what foolishness they would think up next. I am not someone they should feel they can bend to their whims. I'm a princess. I.... should learn to put my foot down."
