A night in (Rex)
Since things had died down considerably, Hope decided to take advantage of it. She arrived at Rex's place that evening, bearing cheeseburgers, beer, and chocolate cake.

	Rex is happy to see his girlfriend. Unbeknownst to Hope, Rex had also purchased a chocolate cake for her, because he knew she loved such things. When she arrives, he smiles and kisses her. "I see a Goddess came to be worshipped. You came to the right place. Step into the temple." he grins. Those jokes never got old for him. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Rex hands Hope her plate, the sits down and kisses her knee, before starting to eat. "So...I told Carter that I'm probably not going to be working at the museum much longer. "Yeah, I love building things. Got it from my dad. When I was kid, he got me ever Lego castle set there was. And we'd sit down together every night after school, when he was home, and build more and more of it.

Of course, I usually fell asleep long before he did, but those were some of the best times." Rex says, taking a sip of his beer.

He cheers as the Thunder take the lead in the game.

"Cindy has seduced Nic with bacon. I don't think her arteries will ever be clear, but she's happy. She's also got Mickey back, which doubled her happiness." Rex says.

"Mom and Carter are doing better. Those freaky Black Lanterns damn near killed them, but the got out okay." Rex says.

"They're back to work at the dig sites in Egypt. And with Nic hanging out with Cindy more often...my apartment tends to be a lonely place." Rex says, raising his eyebrows.

"And I heard Goddess Junior and Will are gettin' along. I will say that I did /not/ see that one coming. They're so...different." Rex says.

"Different" was an understatement.

Hope grinned at him. "I can come and keep you company anytime you want, you know." She said. "A Boom Tube is a wonderful thing."

Hope took another sip of her beer.

"I know," she said. "It's...weird, I'll be honest. He's normally not the type Avia goes for. At all. But Will is a good kid, and much beer than some idiot she could pick up off the streets. So, I'm happy in that respect."

Pause.

"Though if he hurts my little sister, I swear, I will throw him through a wall so fast, he won't know what hit him."

"Will is a good guy and I don't think he's interested in Avia for the physical stuff, at least not primarily. Will's a solid guy and he really adds a lot to the team." Rex tells her, finishing up his burger. He sits his plate on the table and pulls Hope's feet into his lap to massage them.

"Although, if you /have/ to toss him through a wall, can you avoid breaking his jaw? He needs to be able to say his word." Rex jokes.

"Seriously, though. I don't know that Will's dated much. I'd be more worried about him than Goddess Junior." he says.
