How far can you run? (Open)
Jai sat at home, in his room, and looked down at the letters before him with a mixture of excitement and dread. Several of the schools he'd requested information from had written back, asking him to come and view their campuses this summer. Coast City University. Gotham University. Florida State and Loyola. University of Connecticut , Star City University and Butler. All of them wanted to meet him.

Then, he looks over the at the first line of the letter that came for him this morning.

...You have been selected to attend the Ellison Student Journalism Youth Forum in London, England from July 11th-July 15th, with Keynote Speaker, Lois Lane....

Jai was excited to go, if for no other reason than wanting to get away from everything around him for awhile. He wasn't Kid Flash anymore, and he wasn't a member of the Justice League. Both of those were his choice, but neither of them made him feel better. And worse, he still thought about Traya all the time.

"Yeah, I really need to get away." he says, to no one in particular, rising from his bed and changing clothes. He tells his mother he'll be back and later and he's gone before she responds.

Three minutes later, he's in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, skipping rocks in the water along the beach. It's soothing enough that he might get a few minutes of peace.

"Honestly sometimes I do but I can't remember life without it so doesn't bother me to much," Jarrod say, "It's rather useful to be able to see how events will turn out though even if it sometimes attracts the wrong kind of attention." He remembers how Vandel Savage kidnapped him mom once so her could have her use her powers to create a team powerful enough to beat the Teen Titans but she picked people who would not be able to work together even though the were powerful enough.

"Nothing stays the same no matter how hard we might want it to or how hard we might try to make it," Jarrod says, "I'm sure there are things that are still good in your life and know things will get better." 	"Seems to me you're at a crossroads in life," Jarrod says, "You can't go back to who you were even if you want to but you can decide who you will become and it does seem like you have a lot of options there. 	"Iris is a lot tougher than I ever gave her credit for, and she's really grown up. But I can't put my inability to figure out my life on her. She's been through a lot lately." Jai says, taking a deep breath. "Whatever happens for me next, it's got to be for me, and it's got to be on my terms. But thanks for listening, Jarrod. I really appreciate that." he says. "No just got a vibe that coming here would be a good idea and with the crazy that's going on in San Francisco right now didn't really feel like hanging out there and the weather and scenery is really nice here," Jarrod says reminding himself to make a mental image of this place she he could draw or paint it later.

"With the exception of the current crazy going on right now thing have been about normal as they get at the Titans Towers. Iris acting as the heart and soul of the team. Ruth as is conscience and generally nice person. Jay now around too much with his busy schedule though he thinks it's lightening up for now. Ty being a recluse only coming out to talk or be with people really when is Cait, Ruth or Iris. Cait is back and trying to get her life back together and seems to be getting back to what her life was like for the most part before both the good and the bad. Vic has been quiet like usual though sometimes when he talks he can confuse even me but seems like a nice guy. Not really sure what is up with Eli. We did get a new recruit Jo, she's very nice and it definitely seems like this team is for her."

"Jo...Kent?" Jai asks. "Wow, I didn't know she powered-up. Good to hear, though. She's a cool girl." Jai says.

Thinking of Jo made him think of someone else he hadn't seen in a bit. He would have to stop and ask Chrissy if there was any word from Henry yet. Coast City wasn't far from here.

"We're all putting ourselves back together, man. Some of us having it a lot easier than others." he says.

	"I think that's a fairly normal reaction towards the person that killed you," Jarrod says, "I can't think of too many people that took their deaths well or didn't want vengeance on their killers."
