Meet the Freemans
Will was Nervous. Yes, with a capital "N". This was the night that his new girlfriend comes to visit. His mom was finishing up the roast (free range, of course), Dad was home helping out, and Will may well be going out of his mind in nervousness.

'Okay, okay, relax, Will', Will told himself. It was just dinner. A good, delicious dinner, made in a way Avia would like and it would be a nice way to have her meet his Mom and Dad.

Avia was pretty nervous herself, if the truth be told. She'd a) never been in a relationship that had lasted this long before, b) never been in a relationship that had lasted so long without there being any sex, and c) never been in a relationship long enough to need to meet the parents.

Completely uncharted waters here.

She'd toned down her regalia a bit, though she'd still gone with one of her Hippie-fied skirts.

She'd Boom-Tubed into town, then walked the rest of the way. She was pretty sure Will and family still had the whole secret identity thing going, and didn't want to ruin that.

She'd also brought an apple pie, baked by a friend at a commune on the coast.

Avia took a breath, reminded herself she'd stared down and mouthed-off to Darkseid himself, and knocked.

	Mary is at the door all smiles and 1950's dress. She couldn't help it. She was the type of person who was all smiles and super friendly all the time. Which meant she answered the door. "Well from what I recall the JSA always loves an excuse for a party," she points out. "Will. I'm not trying to order you around but you should....you know. Bring Avia with you."

She's pulling down plates and looking for flat wear. Table mats are already down with simple cloth napkins. While it is a pain to wash them Mary enjoys them because they're pretty to her and reusable in most cases.

	Right at this moment, Will wanted to shrink into a corner. But dinner was almost ready, so hopefully once they got eating a lot of the remarks and jokes at his expense will be forgotten.
