"I told you how I felt, Cerdian," Lian said. "You're the one that made it pretty clear that you didn't feel the same way, and that you wanted nothing to do with me. Forgive me for not welcoming you with open arms."
Lian felt a rush of pain as he turned to leave, and she gasped loudly.
No. No, it was too soon...she still had a few weeks left.
