Marissa had forgotten about her own birthday and was startled into remembering it when she received Maria's gift. Still a little bewildered, Marissa tracked her down, ostensibly to thank her.
"So. My boyfriend's dead, Terry's about as much fun as a root canal, and I can't ask Dinah to go anywhere without the chance of Riley showing up and annoying me." She held up the card. "You say I should raise some hell. I may need some guidance on exactly how to do that. You game?"
