Re: The Guardians' Citadel
There's no hesitation from Jon. These high pressure situations were always when he was at his best.
"Myself, and my family have taken Earth as our protectorate. We have aided you and your corps before, and wish to continue to do so in good conscience... but I can't while the Guardians are resorting to kidnapping and wrongful imprisonment of beings whose only crime is being victims of circumstance. You are better than this." He states firmly.
"That said, I think we can come to an arrangement... all of the emotional spectrum forms the white light of life. For life to prosper, all are necessary. There are risks, but to try to contain and control emotion is to deny life a chance. The lesson learned in trying to contain the orange, for example... and the tragedy that led to, shows what will almost inevitably happen.
And so I ask you to consider releasing the people given shards of the light... I am willing to put my own reputation on the line, and am willing to watch them. But to avoid disaster... and to prove that you are everything you claimed to be... you cannot be slavemasters, or try to contain everything that might be dangerous... these people have tremendous potential for good. Please, give them a chance.... and should they become corrupt, should they need to be contained for the safety of the galaxy, when that time comes, I will help you stop them myself."
