The plasma comes back, but the thing about plasma is that it's still just gas. Superheated and polarized, yes, but still just gas. The bucket full of plasma would have dissipated long before it got back to Michael.
Now he keeps it up. Dex should be able to note just how much *more* stuff has been created, and now that same material, a smoking morass of silicon ash superheated to be not unlike a pyroclastic flow.
