Fire does indeed need oxygen to burn. But this is not the chemical combustion of materials that would be snuffed out. This is primal Fire, the kind of magical energy released when the universe blew itself into the cosmos and was caught within the Matrix inadvertently by Martin Stein so long ago.

Michael pushes, giving the construct a taste of what Fire is.
