"Jess...you don't have to do that you know. None of us would be upset, I know I'm not." There's a reassuring smile that tells her that he really doesn't mind at all. He's spent a good chunk of his life listening to other people's problems, friends, family, even when he didn't really feel like he should. But he did realize through all that that bottling things up wasn't good for anyone, and he certainly didn't want her to do that. Not when he was willing to listen.
