When I'm Sixty-Four @ 09:03 pm

(backdated to shortly before Avia's birthday)

Things were, as far as Avia was concerned, going pretty dang good.  Groovy good, anyway.  She'd put in an offer on a place for her and Will, and the odds were they'd be signing the paperwork within a couple of weeks, and moving in with plenty of time before Will started college.  Avia admired his commitment to his education.  She had, at her parents insistence, gone off and on just enough to get an Associate's Degree in business, but had no desire for any more.  It was enough to be useful when managing her career.  But her path to education was one of life experiences.

The relationship itself was, well, about as perfect as could be.  Sure, she was a little bit older, and a lot of people still didn't get how the two of them had ended up together, but they worked.  Will got her and she got him.

Her own career was going well, touring Europe was pretty awesome, and she could Boom back whenever the League or he needed her.   Granted, him being able to fly also helped.  Such as tonight.  Paris, with the great love of her life?  Hard to beat.

Right now, they were just cuddling on the couch of her hotel suite.

Avia pulled herself up just a little bit.  This was... really, really nice.  She'd have liked to have just spent the whole day doing nothing but this kind of thing.  But her upcoming birthday had put the issue a little more on her mind.  It was something that needed to be talked about.

"Mind if we... talk for a little?"
