Iris is the second one jerked awake by the screaming. She'd been sleeping on-and-off anyway, the feeling that something just wasn't poking the back of her brain.
"If it's a prank, it stopped being funny about five seconds ago," she says, pulling her sweatshirt on over her tank top.
Iris is shivering. And not just because it's a cool night out.
