There's a reason vigilantes don't use elevators and...okay well this isn't it.
Robin had gone down to Star City to look into the weapons dealing business that was connected to the trade in Gotham. A few nights should be enough to pick up what information he needed. In fact, he was in the middle of swinging through town after rattling one of the smaller fish when an alert tells him the alarm's been set off at a building not far from where he was.

Well, crimefighting called. So Robin swings that way and enters through a window before blending into the shadows again.

	At that moment the elevator music finally stops cheerfully chirping from the built in speakers. And suddenly the elevator halts. Without warning it jerks up and down very quickly, intent on making its occupants lose their footing and fall over. "Ah ha!" Comes a triumphant yell as the elevator violently shakes. The sudden change in the elevator's movement nearly has Robin fall over, but he manages to regain his footing, holding onto one of the handrails as the whole thing violently shakes and starts moving unpredictably.

"Screw this," he growls. "There's an emergency hatch at the top of most elevators. Though it's only open-able from the outside. We're going to have to find a way to reach it and force it open."

If they can keep their balance.

	The elevator movements had Sam unsteady as well keeping him close to the ground. "I can blow the hatch with one quick arrow," Sam says pretty sure he has an arrow that can do just that. He knew he could make that shot even with the movements. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The elevator begins to shake even more violently and move faster and change directions more often. Normal people would've already fallen down, so the heroes should have a hard time staying on their feet.

"You are no match for my might!"

Just to make things more annoying, an even worse version of the elevator music starts playing. Someone decided that 'It's a Small World After All' would be good elevator music apparently.

This damn music now too? Ugh, this was getting more annoying by the minute.

"I have explosives for that too but...we don't want to accidentally damage the cable that's holding this elevator. I don't know what kind of strain the guy is putting it under right now." Robin has to concentrate to stay on his feet, and manages to get his bo staff out to tap the top of the elevator and get a better idea of how high it is.

"Though if we've got anything less powerfully explosive it might be safer." He had to check his belt to see if he'd used his stock up or not.

	They can't hear it, but the Evil Elevator Man has launched into the classic villain monologue. Perhaps it's a good thing they can't hear. Though he's still keeping up the crazy shaking elevator routine. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"It's usually bolted down," he explains. "Hold on, I've got some plastic explosives. Low grade though so it should be fine." He crouches and goes on his knees to have better balance while he fishes some out and forms four small balls of it.

"Aim for the corners of the panel if you can. It won't go off from the impact but I've got a gadget for that." Robin hands off the putty looking things to Sam, though it's hard with the elevator shaking so much.

	"Got it," Sam says reaching for the putty after a rather difficult grab. The shot took a little work but with there being not music or sound to distract him he manages to pull it off with some effort. But at least it wasn't to far of a shot from within the elevator. 	The Evil Elevator Man doesn't notice what they're doing, he has no cameras in the elevator set up apparently. But his monologue is still going strong. He's just finished the sob story part and is working up to his grand evil plans. He might take a while to finish. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

This stupid lame villain. Reduced to breaking out of an elevator, this sucked.

"Nice shots." Thomas crouches onto the floor and stays low. "Get on the floor and take cover. The moment we get out we're punching this guy out." He pulls out a small device that looks like a remote. It's to set of the mini electronic detonators in the low grade putty explosives.

A small explosion occurs in each corner, but it's strong enough to get rid of the bolts and loosen up the panel.

"Let's get him." With his bo staff he knocks the loose panel away and revealing their escape route.

	"First one to him gets the satisfaction." With that he pulls out his grappling gun and manages to shoot a line through the hole despite the constantly shaking elevator making it hard to stay on his feet. Robin shoots a line and zooms up. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

And the race is on! While the heroes book it out the elevator and sneak around floors to find the Evil Elevator Man, the villain in questions is still in his monologue, completely unaware the speaker in the elevator had been killed anyway.

His back is to the two of them and he's well into his villainous plans part.

"-And then, why then I'd make sure all the elevators in the world were equipped with-" Well, if any of the heroes listened longer it was a testament to their patience.

	Robin does the same and both their punches connect with the guy's jaw at the same time. Poor lame villain didn't stand a chance. "Call the police and leave him here I suppose.
