He did the crown the first year - and thought she should have another this one. He had a different surprise he was focused on last year.
Meanwhile, as it breathes, he realizes, amidst working on the crown, he forgot something else - a shield!
"Whoa..." he calls, in un-knight like fashion, diving and rolling out of the way, with a slash of the sword to ward it from follow up too quick.
