Open House
The Justice League was having an open house for all their current, former and reservist heroes and their friends and families. It was a nice way to show what their member did on a regular basis and build up camaraderie and to give heroes who were members of the justice league something to strive for in the future. This was especially useful with the older generation of heroes starting to retire and the younger generation stepping up to take their place.

Tula was with her Dad. She'd never been to the Watchtower before, so it was kind of exciting.

Jerry had teleported up with his dad. He thought it was so cool that he had gotten to teleport himself there. He had never teleported off world before.

Damian had been allowed to go up to the Watchtower. Huntress would have been with him but something came up. He sees Tula and for a moment feels confused because he knows things are different in this world but that still doesn't stop him from seeing how things are different.

He won't be rude though since Huntress has to work with these people so he gives a polite and short nod. Jerry even gets one too.

"It is, but my parents really want to look into things. They've been really cool about the training on Odym and stuff, but my sister and almost-brother-in-law have only been at it a few years, so it's all still pretty new to us."

Clara pauses. "Say, K'hym, the guy who's dressed kinda like Robin looks all by himself."

K'ym looked over in the direction of the Robin-type person. "I... do not know. I have not met him before, whoever he is."

She looked further. "I wonder why he is not socializing?"

This is when he notices them. He wants to at least say hello but he is still very uncomfortable.

Oh well they can't be that scary. He turns and moves over to say his greetings. "Hello. We haven't met. Red Bird." Not Robin.

Several Starro Spawn had managed to land on the Watchtower undetected and had beyond taking over people by surprise when they were alone attempting to take over everyone there.

Bart was around, sort of as supervision during the open house but also as a legacy hero that had successfully taken over a mantle. It was good to show some younger heroes that were moving in the same direction that it was possible.

He'd turned around to grab more from the snack table when something pounced at his face.

Mikel doesn't have his bow right on hand for something like this - which is a definite problem. That would really, really help at a time like this.

So instead, he just charges at Hal, trying to buy some time for clever plans. At least he's one of the more capable here of going toe to toe with the big leaguers. For a while anyway.

Janie takes a deep breath and as Mikal charges forward, she swerves around as fast as she can to come from behind. They need a plan against a guy like this, it's true.

She tries to think of what she knows about Green Lanterns and their weaknesses. She's pretty sure the yellow impurity thing is long gone so that leaves the basics really. What's a GL need to be a threat? Basically, the ring and willpower. The latter required concentration. Not much of a plan, but when dealing with powers directly related to thoughts and concentration, distractions were good. At least let them be long enough to get the Starro off, or, failing that, the ring long enough for the Starro to be easier to deal with. Good thing bats always had something on them, a couple flashbangs and smokebombs in her bag and a few ice pellets and an explosive. Not much to work with but...that's what they have.

As she flies around she just briefly tugs on the shoulder strap of the shoulder bag she always carried around. To anyone else it'd mean nearly nothing but she knew Mikal would get the message. Distract enough for the bat stuff to get an opening to come in and take over distracting duty. Then of course, rip starfish off. Not that she expects this to go smoothly, this was after all Hal Jordan.

Unfortunately, concentration wasn't necessarily an issue for a Starro-controlled Hal Jordan. When Starro is controlling you, you don't waste time thinking up convoluted or clever constructs.

That being said, Mikal's charge was greeted with several beams of green energy. Janie wasn't ignored, but wasn't the target at the moment.

Starro-ed Bart seemed to realize the young heroes were there and not Starro minions too, so he turned towards them looking like he'd come running at them in a split second.

Clara was busy trying to stay back from Mr. Jordan when she saw.

Brainwashed Flash. An honest-to-goodness Flash, which was especially serious business, heroing-wise,to a good Keystone girl.

And he was coming at them, probably. There literally wasn't time to think. And she couldn't make anything Big, not without getting too close to Mr. Jordan.

So, some little distraction to keep somebody from getting hurt. With a split-second little prayer, she set up thin blue wires from the left wall to the big fancy League furniture over on her right.

Robin-- no, Red Bird is annoyed. He should have guessed this would have happened. He dodges around the arrows trying to formulate a plan of action.

It seems like the adults are trying to distract them.
