Varon blinks. He was all set for a fight! He had some more perfectly good boisterous monologuing left, too. Then he almost feels like facepalming. He forgot to tell the creature it would not damage the building either!
"Hold! This destructive rampage will not be allowed to proceed!" He dives down to the floor and blocks the monster's path.
