Most Excellent. Careful aesthetic manipulation and a selection from the Headship's garment dispenser, Varon was ready for his next experimentation with civilian life. With this mild-mannered disguise, none would be able to recognize him. He set out, and strolled down the streets of Denver. Despite what popular media had told him of the state of Colorado, there seemed to be only a minority of people outfitted for mountain climbing out and about, and not nearly as many people with hunting dogs as he would have expected. Also, it wasn't snowing.

	Little by little, K'hym was managing to convince her father that she was capable of forays into human society on her own. Such as being allowed a brief trip into the city. She understood his worries, of course, but she was forty-eight years old! She deserved some freedom! So today was something of a trial run. (Reply to this)(Thread)

As he rounds a corner, partially distracted by the travel guide he was perusing, he bumps into someone. Hyper reflexes kick in, allowing him to fall back and away from the impact so the other person doesn't harm themselves against his impregnable physique.

"Oof!"

That was just for good measure, as he tries not to break the sidewalk as his rear meets it. The book tumbles from his hands.

	Even if he hadn't, K'hym wouldn't have been damaged by the impact. Fortunately, she is surprised enough to let out an "eep!" before tumbling backwards onto her behind. Fortunately, though, she is quick to catch the book before it falls. "Oh my! I am so sorry!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Varon reaches out for his book. "No, no. It's quite all right. My fault. I was just--" His hand settles over hers. "Oh. Please excuse me." 	Virgil gazed up in mild awe at the dinosaur skeletons. Varon, of course, had seen more impressive predators, but even very few of them had been terrestrial. A group of security officers were helping to carry in a new exhibit, a large, golden disc inlaid with writings from a civilization that had yet to be successfully identified by the museum's archaeological experts.

Abruptly the weather outside started to change.

"Why's it raining so much all of something?"

"Not sure, maybe we should close up?"

It was eerily quick how it went from a rainstorm that lightning flashed and thunder roared.

"Okay everyone. We should move to the basement until-my God!"

The disc began glowing in intensity until it ruptured, spilling what looked like lightning all over the room. The energy then began to coalesce into a solid form, a massive, golden minotaur.

	Instinctively, Varon begins to charge up an energy blast, but stops as soon as he realizes the attention it would draw. He steps in front of Kim. "Stay behind me, we need to get you out of here..." Get 'us' out of there would probably have been better cover, but he'll take what he can manage. He needs to get out of sight so he can shed his secret identity! (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The creature scanned his surrounding with an intelligence greater than that of the beast it resembled. Humans, clearly, but where was he? It had been so long since his summoning and imprisonment by said summoners. The weather sang to him in greeting. He moved toward the exit, uncaring he was too tall to leave through the door. Virgil pushes Kim into the women's restroom, managing to gently shoulder his way through the now panicking tide of humans. "Stay in here! I'll come back for you!"

He then rushes off to find as discrete a place as he can manage, devoid of security camera angles most of all, and sheds his mortal disguise, to be garbed as VARON - THE HYPER TEEN once more!

He flies from his hiding place and hovers in the air near the beast. "You there! Creature! Do you understand my words?"

K'hym would have protested, were this not exactly what she needed to happen. Once she was inside, she turned invisible, and then assumed her Mars Girl form. Slipping her molecules between that of the door, she resumed her visibility only when she was outside.

And there was... someone else. Who seemed to be in need of pants.

But that was not important. Saving lives was.

"Do not worry, good people! Mars Girl has this threat well in hand!"
