Jon is terrible with gifts. Even Christmases, he's usually gone kind of generic. Maria was especially tough, since she can buy anything she really wants.
Well, almost anything. He made her a CD of some of her favorite songs, karaoke style, based on their last few outings, bringing it by in person.
