"I'm leaning toward the "reality-warper who wants to make a name for themself taking on the JLI" theory, because I'm sure it would have come up before if we were all predisposed toward delusion," he says. "In which case, we can't know if we're the only ones caught in their sphere of influence, or if there are other people in danger. So we're still on protecting-people duty, for whatever comes next, but one of our flyers should peel off to see how far this effect goes."
He looks to the flyers for volunteers.
