Thomas would argue that anyone who knew her identity had a good guess at his and vice versa. But he'd appreciate not having to ride with Maria's fling and keep up whatever official story it'd be. Car crash or something probably.
"I was going to wait for the boss, who'll likely have a change of clothes and help get me out of bed and into the car. You shouldn't strain yourself trying to find a ride for both of us. Go charm a change of clothes and a ride for yourself out of someone, I'll see you back at the Manor later."
