One shot hits him in the shoulder, sending him tumbling for a moment, but he rights himself quickly enough. Eli spirals down and then lands with a solid thud on the ship's hull.
The sword blazes hotly in his hands and a slightly maniacal grin on his face. He's not really there at the moment. He can see the ship, but he's not seeing the ship before him but instead one of the other ships from his time.
The ones that took away his life and family.
In a quiet voice he whispers "Die."
