Years of friendship with Henry Jordan have turned the words "don't worry about it" from a reassurance to a sign to duck and cover. Add in "expert occultist" and "has been gone since decades before you were born", and Dinadan's eyeballing the package like it's an unexploded bomb.
"So why now?" he asks. "If he's been gone as long as you say he's been, this has been sitting around for a good long time. And my birthday isn't for a couple months yet."
