Which would be an interesting topic to bring up. Asherah was just focused on the idea of getting her footwear off and laying down. She knew in the back of her head that Mera would be told about her. She just wasn't fully consciously aware that it would be so soon.
She was though aware she was following after Cait. That was helpful.
