As Cindy got situated at school, she was a little more...absent-minded than usual. Absent in a particular direction.

But there were plenty of things that needed doing or practicing. And not just academics.

She dialed up a certain residence in Connecticut.

"Avia?" She asked as soon as the phone was answered. "What's the easiest thing for you to get out of? That's not a performing secret, of course."

"Actually, there's a couple charities I'm involved with, one for feedin' starving kids in Africa, and an animal rights one--nothing crazy like PETA or anything--that are havin' a little trouble getting some broader exposure, even with my touring.
