Admission of Guilt (Open to Avia, Barda and Scott)
An hour after Hope's abduction, Rex asks Avia to call her parents and tell them he needs to speak to them immediately at the Brownstone.

Rather than hunt them down, he'll let the people with Boom Tubes come to him for ease of travel...and because most people would rather die someplace familiar than elsewhere.

The imagine of Darkseid vanishes before Avia's eyes.

"You poor, foolish child. Everything breaks, in time. You are not nearly as strong as you believe. Allow me to show you." Darkseid utters.

Omega Beams lance out from his eyes, curving from the balcony of his palace, down through the streets and around the crowd below to strike Avia directly, searing her flesh from the outside in.

"This is pain. Where are your peace and love now?" he asks mockingly.

Avia tried to dodge in time, but there was no outrunning Omega Beams. She took the blast full on, pieces of her uniform singed away in an instant as she hit the ground, hard, one hand cradling her wounds protectively.

She forced words from her mouth. "The peace that comes from knowing I have a family... who will do anything for each other... because of love. Maybe... you just... need a hug."

Darkseid mentally commands the Parademons to stand down, rising now on a floating disk to loom over the field of battle.

"You are beaten, Scott. One word and my people will fall upon you like rabid dogs and you will be torn to shreds. I /will/ have the Anti-Life Equation, even if I must use my Omega Sanction to ensure that your children live this day over and over until the universe goes black." Darkseid says, his eyes glowing.

"Give me the Equation and you all go free."
