Admission of Guilt (Open to Avia, Barda and Scott)
An hour after Hope's abduction, Rex asks Avia to call her parents and tell them he needs to speak to them immediately at the Brownstone.

Rather than hunt them down, he'll let the people with Boom Tubes come to him for ease of travel...and because most people would rather die someplace familiar than elsewhere.

While Hope was concerned to see how Rex was doing, she couldn't help but blame herself for what had happened to him.

Her fault that he might not be able to speak ever again. If all of this hadn't have happened, Rex would still be alright, and not worrying about if he was ever going to be able to speak again.

Would she still love him if he never regained his voice? Of course she would.

She smiled weakly when she entered the room. "Hey," she said, going over to sit at the side of his bed.

	Annoyed at the pain in his throat, Rex nods, then draws for the datapad he was given and taps some words out. Some birthday, huh? I get if you're not too keen on...us. 	Hope put a hand on his cheek. Gently. "Listen to me," she said, a stern tone in her voice. "It is not your fault. You should not feel responsible for what happened. If anyone is too blame, it's me. You're the best, Goddess. By the way, your mom kicks ass. In fact, your whole family kicks ass.

He grins, then kisses her, before remembering something and turning to look at the small camera set up on the opposite side of the bed, across from Hope.

Were you watching me before you came? he smiles.

That's the only reason he can think of for the small camera to be there. Just as he notices it, the red light near the lens winks out.

	Hope grinned. "My family does kick a lot of ass," she said. "It's what we do. Or me and Mother, at least. Avia and Father really only kick ass when the situation calls for it."
