Dinner went smoothly, and Talia left shortly after.
Which was good, as though Lian didn't show it, Damien's mother made her just the slightest bit uncomfortable.
She turned her head over to smile at Damien.
"Not that I didn't enjoy meeting your mother, but I'm glad that we can be alone, now."
