Cait managed to stop one spear, but didn't see the other two. There was a flash of white hot searing pain and then she started to feel the icy grip of death.
"I'm sorry I failed you," she sent to her father.
The darkness was quickly closing in. She had only a few seconds left.
"I love you," she sent to Ty.
Then the darkness consumed her.
Cait's body fell to the ocean floor and was still.
