Ooh boy. Dinadan takes a deep breath and thinks hard, really hard, about what he's about to say; because he's sure that this is going to be an Important Point in their relationship, whatever it ends up becoming.
"Okay, first of all, my mother didn't warn me about girls so much as ask if I was attracted to them before she started setting me up on political dates." And so Dad could start introducing the idea of in vitro fertilization to New Morlaidh, if need be. It occurs briefly to Dinadan that his family has really weird dinner conversations.
"Secondly, I really like you too. You're funny and attractive and you get me to do things I wouldn't normally do and I really like that.
"And you know, I wouldn't ask you to be monogamous for me, because I've been friends with Henry for years and I know that some people just aren't wired that way, but I do appreciate the offer." Aaaand there goes the blush again. Man is he ever lucky she thinks it's cute. "But I'd be willing to, er, discuss a time frame of, say, before the weekend is over on the putting out front." Assuming his face doesn't fall off from blushing, at least.
