Lian waited until everyone had assembled in the lounge, which hadn't been hit that hard by the recent attack.
There was a giant knot in her stomach. She didn't know quite how to tell them, but it was something she had to do.
Things like this were definitely not Lian's strong suit.
"I really don't know where to start," she said, pushing a strand of hair behind her ears.
"I want to apologize for taking off the way I did, and not telling everyone personally. It was stupid, rash, and very irresponsible of me. My mom has always been something that sets me on edge and makes me do things I shouldn't, and I shouldn't have not told people what I was doing. That's not how a team works, and out of all the people in this room, I should know that.
I understand if no one in this room trusts me right now. I don't blame you in the least. I'd like to earn it back, and I know that it'll take work, and that it won't be easy. I'm willing to do what it takes.
When I was undercover in the League, it quickly became less about finding my mother and putting her away, and finding out what Damien Wilson was up to. I was able to gather that he was onto something big, and I decided that the only way to find out what he was doing was try and get close to him."
Lian exhaled.
"I'm not going to beat around the bush here. You all deserve upfront honesty, and I'm going to give it you.
I'm pregnant."
