“Sorry to hear about that,” Max said. He wasn’t going to pry about that more he assumed that old wound had probably been picked at enough of late. If his mom heard about this she probably would seek her out with no one having the power to stop her.
Still it was weird to hear about his mom together with Mr. Grayson. He knew they had some history together but he had always been more interested in her than his mom was with him. But then again most people seemed confused that his parents work so well together at least until they actually saw them together.
