Iris woke up that morning before her alarm went off. She'd been having trouble sleeping these past couple of nights, as she was worried about Jai, who still hadn't come home. Daddy couldn't find him anywhere, either. Nor could anyone else, even though they had people out looking for him everywhere.

Iris put on her bathrobe, and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. Mom and Mitzi were still sleeping, but her father was up, sitting on the couch in the living room. He looked...sad.

"Daddy?" Iris walked over to him. "Are you okay?"

Wally looks up and sees his little Irey coming into the living room. He breathed a small sigh of relief at the fact that she was here right now and not out there, alone. Wally is certain that Jai is in trouble and that it's worse than ever before. He hasn't called, hasn't come home, hasn't made any contact.

Linda was barely holding on.

"Hi, Irey. Look, I need you to sit down, okay? There's something I have to tell you and...it's bad." Wally says.

"No, sweetie. Everyone is still looking for him. This is about Cerdian, Irey." Wally says, taking a deep breath. Iris was going to need him shortly and he needed to be strong for her.

"Iris, I made sure to find out for myself before I told you this. I talked to Garth, Dick and Tim Drake. Tim Drake was there about the time it happened. So was Lian Harper. I'm sorry, Iris.

Cerdian died, sweetie." Wally says, finally, burying his face in his hands.

	"What?" Iris blinked. "No. That's not true. It's not true...there has to be some mistake. Cerdian can't be...he can't be..." She couldn't even say the words, as tears started to form in her eyes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Wally reaches over and puts an arm around his daughter, drawing her close.

"I'm sorry, Irey, but it is. I..saw him. Cerdian. Some very bad people came after Lian the same night that your mother told you and Jai to come home. Cerdian stopped them. They might be the same people who took Jai." Wally says.

"We're doing everything we can to find them, Iris and we will." he says.

	"I know, Iris. I know." Wally says. He wishes he could make this all better with his Magic Dad powers, but this just isn't one of those situations.
