If you ever do get a chance, definitely go! And if you ever get two chances, go once with a tour group, once without. With a group it's informative and you get good deals on entry into popular tourist locations, but I think that exploring it on your own would be a lot more exciting and it would make everything just seem more... real. If you get what I mean.
