Yesterday was my birthday. I'm 20 :( I feel fucking old.





my mom got me some really awesome stuff like a dress and a skirt (in white) from forever 21


these books

a pair of PINK sweatpants (that they don't have online... grr), balloons like every year, this necklace, this sweater, another dress, and these babies. I love them. Oh my god. She also got me another shirt from Charlotte Russe and a shirt form Victorias Secret that looked retarded so I'm returning them. Basically my point of all of this is: do you ever feel bad if you don't like what your parents got you? I feel so shitty and ungrateful and like I'm really hurting my mom. I don't want to ask her because I feel weird but blah I don't know :( I just love my mom so much and I feel really terrible.

I always feel awful when I don't like one of my birthday or Christmas presents, especially if its from my mom because she always gets really excited about giving gifts and I feel bad disappointing her :(

ugh I feel the same way. my mom is like "oh, Amanda will like this!" and then I WILL like it but it fits weird (she got me a shirt that was a Medium... she is on crack. I wish.)

happy belated birthday! I love that picture of you.

I do feel bad when I have to return gifts my parents buy for me, but it's much better that I return it and get something I will actually use, than to waste their money by not ever using what they originally bought me. you could try telling your mum a little white lie about the presents. say that the clothes don't fit nicely, or if you don't live with her, you could tell her you already have something really similar ;P that way you'll avoid hurting her feelings by saying you just outright do not like them.
