She encourages this behavior. She's hurt and tired, wheras he's stupid. She gives him a nice taqrget to break, letting him go with Wrecker-logic that if he hits it enough, it'll break. When he starts going for the two handed power slams, she swings a straight shot with the top of the hammer at his gut.
