She smiles slightly, a little wistfully, remembering some other discussions in the past. Despite the expression, there's not much humor in it.
"Everyone who has gotten this job has questioned him and his real motives. They'd be crazy not to. He might be lying to us - our realities could be fine, or they could already be gone for good. But for sanity's sake, I have to hope that its mostly true. But more logically... if he had truly bad intentions, or motives, with his abilities he or whatever he represents could easily grab some extra-dimensional mercenary hit squad. Yet he chose us - people who, with some exceptions, would mostly try to do the right thing to benefit people and worlds. Some of us have been more mercenary, but no one assigned to this group in my 4 years has been what I'd call outright evil, and most have been heroes. I believe that that means that even if he's not telling us everything... and I'm sure he's not, at least that suggests to me that his intent is mostly good."
