"My birthworld was... unusual. I was raised by super heroes who'd been kidnapped from Earth by an extra-dimensional being and put on a planet for some kind of wargame. Eventually, with no way home, they made peace. So with just ten of us kids, it was kind of isolated... but not bad. Eventually, five of us returned to Earth to find out it had been taken over by mutant-haters with an army of giant robots. We spent a year in a guerilla war with the robots, raiding concentration camps, destroying sentinel factories, that sort of thing. Then this all started when I was fifteen, and the first handful of us were taken for the first team. So.... long story short, my homeworld was actually pretty nice. Earth where I'm from isn't. How about yours?"
